The hose was OEM and cheaper than everywhere else I checked. Came super fast.
Replaced my old hose for my Polaris 3900 pool cleaner. The old hose lost its flexibility after 17 years of service. After installing the new flexible hose the Polaris 3900 is cleaning like a new machine again. I chose an OEM product to be ensured I didn’t get a cheaper, more stiff hose.
The backup valve did not function properly and Polaris has cheapened up the the pressure relief valve that plugs into the side of the pool. Not the quality of my previous Polaris products.
Instructions in the manual differ some from the flyer that comes with the feed hose and the u-tube provided, so it can be a bit confusing. Customer support by email was very good. Definitely a lot easier to do measurements if there are two people. Good quality. The hose works fine. It does curl up near the return which will sometimes keep it from reaching the farthest part of the pool, but a quick flip of the hose and it will straighten out, and more often than not it will straighten itself out. It may be that the swivels are not loosened enough yet from usage. My old hose was very old and brittle and the flexibility in the new one seems to keep it from getting stuck on the steps and helps to get a better sweep of the pool floor.
