Hayward's Vari-Flo control valves with easy to use lever-action handle allows you to quickly dial any of the filter functions for maximum efficiency. Integral sight glass lets you see when water is clean and backwash cycle is complete. "SP 712-A-2" Stamped into valve body.
Product Overview
This valve threads into the top of the Hayward sand filter. The style of threads are "V-Thread". If you check the side profile of the threads you will see an symmetric shape thread that looks like a "V". Hayward also has a "Buttress Thread" option. Please check your thread style before ordering.

Helpful in finding correct valve. Fast shipment.
The housing cracked and started leaking water at the 1/4" port for the pressure gauge when I installed the gauge with liquid teflon. This is the third Hayward Valve Kit I've had in the last two years that the plastic threaded ports have leaked water.
